What is the SCHUFA Score?
The SCHUFA score is a statistical value that represents your creditworthiness on a scale from 0 to 100 percent. The higher the value, the lower SCHUFA estimates the risk of payment default. The score significantly influences whether you receive loans, rental agreements, or mobile contracts.
Important: Practically no one achieves a score of 100%, as SCHUFA always factors in statistical life risks such as sudden death. A score above 97.5% is already considered excellent.
Changes from March 2026
SCHUFA is introducing a new point system (100-999 points) with only 12 transparent criteria. Consumers can then view their score for free online.

- Building time: After 6-12 months of positive history, your score improves
